The International Language College of Jilin University is in charge of foreign students' Chinese language training and education administration. Its Chinese Language and Culture Department provides BA major of Chinese Language and Literature (exclusively for foreign students), the Chinese Language Training Department provides short to medium term Chinese language training. The International Trade Department for Foreign Students trains for doing business in China. In addition to academic majors, all international students are required to take "Modern Chinese" and the "Survey of China's Culture and History" classes. The college is also responsible for the appraisal of academic performances of related courses.
